    • No: Please top up the meter.
    • Yes: Proceed to Step 2.

    • No: A switch has likely tripped due to an appliance like an iron, toaster, kettle, charger, or straighteners. Unplug all appliances and reset the switch. Test each appliance one at a time.     • Yes: If your fuse box hasn’t tripped, check if your neighbours are experiencing the same issue. This could indicate a local power outage. You can verify this by checking online sources like Google or social media for updates on local outages.

Gas/Heating Troubleshooting Guide

Step 1: Electricity Check

  • Do you have electricity?
    • No: Your boiler requires an electrical supply. Follow the electricity troubleshooting steps.
    • Yes: Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Gas Hob Check

  • Do you have a gas hob?
    • No: Proceed to Step 4.
    • Yes: Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Gas Smell Check

  • When you turn on the gas hob, do you smell gas?
    • No: Turn off the hob and contact us.
    • Yes: Turn off the hob and proceed to Step 4.

Step 4: Boiler Check

  • Is your boiler on?
    • No: Your boiler requires an electrical supply. Follow the electricity troubleshooting steps. Try these additional steps:
      • Press the reset button.
      • Turn up your thermostat higher than the current room temperature.
      • Replace the batteries if you have a remote thermostat.
      • Check for any fault codes and note them down or take a picture, as we will need this information.
      • If you cannot get the boiler to switch on, please contact us.
    • Yes: If your boiler is on without any fault codes but you are experiencing heating issues, your system might need pressurizing. Follow the steps for your boiler's manufacturer.

Water Troubleshooting Guide

Step 1: Checking for Water Leaks

  • Do you have a water leak?
    • No: Proceed to Step 2.
    • Yes: Turn off the water at the stopcock by turning it clockwise. The stopcock is usually located under the kitchen sink or in a downstairs cloakroom. If you cannot turn it off, place a bowl or bucket under the leak to minimize damage. Identify the leak's source (e.g., boiler, radiator, ceiling) and contact us immediately.

Step 2: Checking for Water Supply Loss

  • Do you have a loss of water supply?
    • No: Contact us if your issue isn't described here.
    • Yes: Ensure the water is on at the stopcock by turning it anti-clockwise. Check with Severn Trent Water (STW) for any outages or known problems in the area. Also, check with neighbors to see if they are experiencing the same issue. If you are unable to resolve the problem, please contact us for further assistance.
